Canker sores, also known as mouth ulcers; are a rare disease of the alimentary canal. In it painful lesions are created in the mouth, on tongue, lips and sides of the mouth. The pain makes eating and drinking anything quite difficult. These are mostly round or oval in shape. The center of the lesion is somewhat yellowish in color and the border is red colored.
