Immanuel Kant was a great philosopher of his times. He always opposed utilitarianism which establishes the correctness of an act on the basis of public utility, whether justified or not. Kantian ethics basically follow a “golden rule”; he advises to treat others in that way in which you wanted yourself to be treated. His views stated that morality is all about well-being and not totally about justice
